The name of this E Shram card is the Unique Identification Number Card and the name of the authority under which this card comes – Ministry of Labor and Employment. This scheme has been started by PM Narendra Modi for the unorganized sector workers and laborers. The main objective of this scheme is for the workers and laborers of the country. The Ministry of Labor and Employment has recently gathered complete information about the unrecognized sector workers and workers across India. You can use this UAN card for life.

E Sharam Portal has been created for all the workers and laborers of the country. Because through this the government can make new schemes for the laborers and workers.   Pradhan mantri matru vandana yojna

Janani Suraksha Yojana this is a safe motherhood program under the National Health Mission. It aims to promote safe delivery in poor pregnant women. The central government provides financial assistance to pregnant women. Only women living below the poverty line can avail this scheme. Pregnant women have been divided into two categories under Janani Suraksha Yojana by the government.



To avail this scheme, a pregnant woman needs to be admitted to a government hospital or a recognized private hospital for delivery. Funds provided by the government under this scheme are sent directly to the bank account of the beneficiary. Therefore, it is mandatory for pregnant women to have a bank account and should be linked to the bank account base. Let us tell you in detail about Janani Suraksha Yojana.


Two categories of women for Janani Suraksha Yojana


Pregnant women in rural areas

Under Janani Suraksha Yojana, women who are pregnant and living below the poverty line are given financial assistance of Rs 1400 by the government. In addition, Asha Sahyogini is given Rs 300 for incentive delivery and Rs 300 for providing post-natal service.

Pregnant women in urban areas

Under this scheme, poor pregnant women in urban areas are given financial assistance of Rs 1000 at the time of delivery. In addition, Asha Sahaji is provided Rs 200 for incentive delivery and Rs 200 for post-delivery service.

Purpose of Janani Suraksha Yojana

Women living below the poverty line cannot meet their health needs during pregnancy. The availability of medical facilities in rural areas is still very difficult. In view of all these difficulties, the Central Government has started this scheme. Through this scheme, the government wants to reduce maternal mortality as well as neonatal mortality. It also allows safe delivery to poor women in the hospital so that mothers and newborns can avoid emergency situations.

Features of a Public Safety Plan

The scheme is a 100 percent centrally sponsored scheme and integrates cash assistance. The scheme has identified ASHA workers as social health workers. Pregnant women giving birth at home with the help of Anganwadi doctors or ASHA workers will get Rs 500. Up to five years after the free delivery of the infant, the mother and child are informed about the vaccination and vaccinated. All the women who are registered under this scheme are given at least two antenatal checkups free of cost. Apart from this, Asha and Anganwadi workers also help them in the postpartum period.

Eligibility for public safety scheme

Under this scheme, pregnant women from both rural and urban areas of the country can register. The government provides financial assistance to pregnant women under this scheme when they are 19 years of age or older. Women registered under the scheme have to be transported only to a government hospital or a private hospital selected by the government. The government will provide medical and other financial facilities to pregnant women for the birth of only two children. Only women below poverty line will be benefitted under this scheme.

What is e Shram Portal? Government will launch tomorrow, know who will get benefit

  Central government to launch e-shram portal


 Database of unorganized workers will be ready

 The central government will start the e-shram portal to prepare a database of workers in the unorganized sector.  According to official information, the e-shram portal will be launched on 26 August 2021.  With this initiative of the government, the benefits of all social security schemes will reach all the unorganized workers of the country.

 Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav has released the logo of e-shram portal on Tuesday.  Through which the government aims to register 38 crore workers of the unorganized sector.  Apart from construction workers, this includes migrant workers, street vendors and domestic workers.

After the launch of the portal, workers of the unorganized sector can register themselves.  For which registration can be done through your Aadhar card number along with filling the necessary details like date of birth, home town, mobile number and social category.  After which an e-shram card will be issued to the workers.  In which there will be a 12 digit unique number.


 Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav informed that along with the launch of the portal, a national toll free number 14434 will also be started to help the workers in getting the registration done.  Its purpose is to integrate the social security schemes of the government.

Vahan Akasmat Sahay Yojana : An important scheme was implemented by the Gujarat government last year regarding accidents. An estimated 30,000 road accidents occur in the state every year. In which about 6500 people lost their lives. But if the injured person is given immediate treatment in time, his life can be saved. The decision was taken by the government to reduce the death rate in accidents as much as possible. Due to which ‘Vehicle Accident Treatment Scheme’ was implemented by the state government. In the first 48 hours, the state government will pay up to Rs 50,000 for any kind of treatment to the injured.

What are the rules of a vehicle accident treatment plan?

All the expenses upto Rs. 50,000 of every of the accident victims within the first 48 hours in any hospital are going to be reimbursed by the state govt.
Along with Gujarat residents, people from other states and even from other countries facing accidents in Gujarat also are applicable for this scheme. Even there’s no income criteria attached with this scheme.
The primary objective is to supply timely and highest quality treatment to the victims so as to scale back the life risk as first 48 hours are crucial for accident victims.

It has decided to launch the scheme to provide training-loans and assistance for the maintenance, education, health and self-employment of children whose father is the main breadwinner of the family. According to the benefits of Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana announced by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani,

Under this 'Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana', the State Government will provide Rs. 4000

The state government has decided to provide a benefit of Rs 6,000 per month to children who will continue their studies even after completing 18 years of age in the after-care scheme for 21 years without any income limit.





Even after completing 21 years, the young men and women who are engaged in higher studies will get the benefit of Rs. 6000 per month under the After Care Scheme till the year of study or at the age of 24 years or earlier. This means that all types of undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be considered valid for this scheme.

Scholarships prescribed by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, NTDNT and Economically Backward Classes of the State and to Tribal Children by the Tribal Development Department Will be approved subject to the rules. The benefits of all the schemes of all the corporations owned by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Department of Tribal Development shall be given to the eligible children irrespective of the income limit.

Not only this, educational loan for study in the state as well as loan for study abroad will be given on priority basis regardless of any income limit. Such orphans and destitute children will be covered under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) for higher education and its benefits will be given on priority basis without any income limit.

Vocational training for children above 14 years of age and skill development training for children above 18 years of age will be imparted on priority basis at the government's expense under this 'Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana'. Priority will be given to the destitute girls who have lost their parents for admission in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, residential schools run by the Central / State Government for education. Hostel expenses will also be provided. By including such destitute girls under Kunwarbai's Mameru scheme for marriage, the benefit of this scheme will also be available and the amount of Mamera will be paid by the state government under the scheme.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) is a government-backed savings scheme as part of the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana" for the benefit of girls. Parents can open two such accounts for girls (if they are more than two girls they cannot open third / fourth account). The tenure of these accounts is till the marriage of the girl child after the age of 21 years or 18 years. ICICI Bank is authorized by the Ministry of Finance to offer SSY accounts. Customers can open an account at any a ICICI bank branch by submitting account opening documents.


  Features and benefits of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana:

Premature closure of Sukanya Samriddhi account:

Only premature closure can be done by a girl child attaining the age of 18 for the purpose of marriage. However, there are some special cases under which the account can be closed and the related amount can be withdrawn:


Premature death of account holder:

If the registered girl dies unfortunately, the parent or legal guardian is eligible to claim the final amount on the account and also earn interest. The amount will be immediately handed over to the nominee of the account. Further, the parent or legal guardian has to submit relevant documents confirming the death of the account holder duly verified by the concerned authorities.

Inability to continue account:

Sukanya Samriddhi account can be closed prematurely if there is some kind of instruction from the central government about the inability of the depository to carry forward the account. Contribution towards the account can be closed to the depositor due to any financial stress. Further, due permission should be obtained from the competent authorities for the account closure and closing process.

For people who are living below poverty line & lower income group, an illness not only represents a permanent threat to their income and earning capacity, but in many cases it results in the family falling into a trap of debt. When need to get treatment arises for a poor family they often ignore it because of lack of resources, fearing loss of wages, or they wait till the last moment when it is too late.

When in the Lower middle class families, critical illness occur and when such families are not included in the definition of BPL so they cannot get free treatment, and they are not able to spend money for critical illness. So, Based on feedback from various stakeholders, the Scheme was extended to families of lower income group names as Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya Yojana in August 2014.

During year of 2016, U-win Card holders are also included under the scheme.

In Current Financial Year 2017-18, all urban & rural ASHAs (Accredited Social Health Activist), Reporters and fix pay employees of class-3 & 4 appointed by state government are included under “MA Vatsalya” Yojana. Senior citizens of those families with annual income up to Rs. 6 lakh are included under “MA Vatsalya” scheme.

Strategies & Programme Activities: -

All beneficiaries can avail cashless quality medical and surgical treatment for catastrophic illnesses related to: Cardiovascular diseases, Renal diseases, Neurological diseases, Burns, Poly-Trauma, Cancer (Malignancies), Neo-natal (newborn) diseases, Knee & Hip

Replacement & Kidney, Liver and Kidney + Pancrease Transplantation which cover 698 defined procedures along with their follow ups.

The Sum assured is up to Rs. 3,00,000/- per family per annum on a family floater basis. Kidney Transplant, Liver Transplant, Kidney + Pancrease Transplant procedures are covered with benefit up to Rs. 5,00,000/- under scheme. Knee and Hip replacement procedures are covered with cap of Rs. 40,000/ - per one replacement. Additional cost will be borne by the beneficiary. Rs. 300/- is paid to the beneficiary as transportation charges for every instance of availing treatment from the empanelled hospital.

To avail benefits every family has issued a QR coded card (Quick Response Coded Card). This card contains the photograph of the head of the family/spouse, a unique registration number (URN),

“MA Vatsalya” Card is compulsory for availing treatment. After availing Income Certificate, beneficiaries can get “MA Vatsalya” Card and for that the following officers have been appointed to give income certificate to the beneficiaries:

District Collector, District Development Officer, Deputy Collector / Assistant Collector, Province Officer, Deputy District Development Officer, Taluka Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer, Deputy Mamlatdar

For beneficiaries enrolment, Taluka kiosks and Civic Centre kiosks have been established at the Taluka and City civic center Kiosk where beneficiaries can enroll themselves, can get his/her card split, can addition/deletion of family members, and can get a new card in case of lost card. Mobile kiosks are also provided at each district for growingly enrollment.

Private hospitals, Government hospitals and Standalone dialysis centers are empanelled to avail benefits under the scheme. Payment against approved claims is released directly through RTGS by the State Government.

No intermediary agency is involved in the process.

For encouraging Quality services, Hospitals accreditation by NABH / JCI (Joint Commission International)/ ACHS (Australia) or by any other accreditation body approved by International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) are given Quality Incentives of 10% extra package change over and above the package rates.

Rs.100 per BPL family is given to ASHA to accompany BPL family for enrollments at their respective Kiosk. Enrollment through Mobile Kiosk, incentive of Rs. 2/- per registration of “MA” & “MA Vatsalya” family is given to ASHA.

PMSYM : Pradhan mantri Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojna Pension

Government of India has introduced a pension scheme for unorganised workers namely Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) to ensure old age protection for Unorganised Workers.




The unorganised workers mostly engaged as home based workers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, head loaders, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic workers, washer men, rickshaw pullers, landless labourers, own account workers, agricultural workers, construction workers, beedi workers, handloom workers, leather workers, audio- visual workers and similar other occupations whose monthly income is Rs 15,000/ per month or less and belong to the entry age group of 18-40 years. They should not be covered under New Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) scheme or Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO). Further, he/she should not be an income tax payer.

2. Features of PM-SYM: It is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme, under which the subscriber would receive the following benefits :
(i) Minimum Assured Pension: Each subscriber under the PM-SYM, shall receive minimum assured pension of Rs 3000/- per month after attaining the age of 60 years.
(ii) Family Pension: During the receipt of pension, if the subscriber dies, the spouse of the beneficiary shall be entitled to receive 50% of the pension received by the beneficiary as family pension. Family pension is applicable only to spouse.
(iii) &nbps; &&nbps;If a beneficiary has given regular contribution and died due to any cause (before age of 60 years), his/her spouse will be entitled to join and continue the scheme subsequently by payment of regular contribution or exit the scheme as per provisions of exit and withdrawal.

3. Contribution by the Subscriber: The subscriber’s contributions to PM-SYM shall be made through ‘auto-debit’ facility from his/ her savings bank account/ Jan- Dhan account. The subscriber is required to contribute the prescribed contribution amount from the age of joining PM-SYM till the age of 60 years. The chart showing details of entry age specific monthly contribution is as under:

Matching contribution by the Central Government: PM-SYM is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme on a 50:50 basis where prescribed age-specific contribution shall be made by the beneficiary and the matching contribution by the Central Government as per the chart. For example, if a person enters the scheme at an age of 29 years, he is required to contribute Rs 100/ - per month till the age of 60 years an equal amount of Rs 100/- will be contributed by the Central Government.

5. Enrolment Process under PM-SYM: The subscriber will be required to have a mobile phone, savings bank account and Aadhaar number. The eligible subscriber may visit the nearest Common Services Centres (CSC eGovernance Services India Limited (CSC SPV)) and get enrolled for PM-SYM using Aadhaar number and savings bank account/ Jan-Dhan account number on self-certification basis.

Later, facility will be provided where the subscriber can also visit the PM-SYM web portal or can download the mobile app and self-register using Aadhar number/ savings bank account/ Jan-Dhan account number on self-certification basis.

6. Enrollment agencies: The enrolment will be carried out by all the Common Services Centres. The unorganised workers may visit their nearest CSC along with their Aadhar Card and Savings Bank account passbook/Jandhan account and get registered themselves for the Scheme. Contribution amount for the first month shall be paid in cash for which they will be provided with a receipt.

7. Facilitation Centres: All the branch offices of LIC, the offices of ESIC/EPFO and all Labour offices of Central and State Governments will facilitate the unorganised workers about the Scheme, its benefits and the procedure to be followed, at their respective centers.
In this respect, the arrangements to be made by all offices of LIC, ESIC, EPFO all Labour offices of Central and State Governments are given below, for ease of reference:
1. All LIC, EPFO/ESIC and all Labour offices of Central and State Governments may set up a “Facilitation Desk” to facilitate the unorganised workers, guide about the features of the Scheme and direct them to nearest CSC
2. Each desk may consist of at least one staff.
3. They will have backdrop, standi at the main gate and sufficient number of brochures printed in Hindi and regional languages to be provided to the unorganised workers.
4. Unorganised workers will visit these centres with Aadhaar Card, Savings bank account/Jandhan account and mobile phone.
5. Help desk will have onsite suitable sitting and other necessary facilities for these workers.
6. Any other measures intended to facilitate the unorganised workers about the Scheme, in their respective centers.
8.Fund Management: PM-SYM will be a Central Sector Scheme administered by the Ministry of Labour and Employment and implemented through Life Insurance Corporation of India and CSC eGovernance Services India Limited (CSC SPV). LIC will be the Pension Fund Manager and responsible for Pension pay out. The amount collected under PM-SYM pension scheme shall be invested as per the investment pattern specified by Government of India.
