Cizens will be able to register and book and appointment for vaccination, anytime and anywhere, using the COWIN 2.0 portal or through other IT applications such as Arogya Setu etc.
This information was shared during the orientation workshop organised by the Union Health Ministry and the National Health Authority (NHA) for the 10,000 private hospitals under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, more than 600 hospitals empanelled under CGHS and other private hospitals empanelled under State Government’s Health Insurance Schemes,on Co-WIN2.0.The modalities of the new features integrated in the CoWIN2.0 digital platformwere explained to them.The private empanelled COVID Vaccination Centers (CVCs) were also trained on various aspects of the process of vaccination and management of adverse events following immunization (AEFI) through video conference with the support of the National Health Authority (NHA).
The participants were explained that all citizens that are aged, or will attain the age of, 60 years or more as on 1st January 2022 are eligible to register, in addition to all such citizens that are aged, or will attain the age of, 45 years to 59 years as on 1st January 2022, and have any of the specified 20 comorbidities (as annexed).

There will be only one live appointment for a beneficiary at any point of time for each dose. Appointments for any date for a COVID Vaccination Center will be closed at 3:00 pm on that day for which the slots were opened. For example, for 1st March the slots will be open from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm on 1st March, and the appointments can be booked anytime before that, subject to availability. However, on 1st March an appointment can also be booked for any future date for which vaccination slots are available. A slot for second dose will also be booked at the same COVID Vaccination Center on 29th day of the date of appointment of the 1st dose. If a beneficiary cancels a first dose appointment, then appointment of both doses will be cancelled.
The eligible persons will be able to register at the Co-WIN2.0 portal through their mobile number, through a step by step process. With one mobile number, a person can register as many as four beneficiaries. However, all those registered on one mobile number will have nothing in common except the mobile number. The Photo ID Card Number for each such beneficiary must be different. Either of the following Photo Identity Documents can be used by citizens for availing of online registration:-Aadhar Card/Letter
Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC)
Passport
Driving License
PAN Card
NPR Smart Card
Pension Document with photograph

A User Guide for the Citizen Registration & Appointment for Vaccination has also been uploaded on the websites of Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and National Health Authority (NHA)

Corona cases are on the rise across the state, including Ahmedabad and Surat. Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani again announced at a press conference on Saturday that no lockdown or curfew would be imposed in the state during the day. Mall-theaters are crowded on Saturdays and Sundays, so it will be closed. The government has made all the preparations.

People need not panic, as well as be careful. At present, I have ordered to prepare five times as many beds as there are cases and accordingly the government also reviews every day. Medication, injections, doctor, all these arrangements have also been done. Dhanvantari Rath, 104, Sanjeevani, we have also started again, so I believe there is no need to panic.


The government canceled all programs

Talking about people coming to Gujarat from other states, the Chief Minister said that we are screening all the people coming from outside states. The BJP has canceled all the programs and the government has also decided not to hold any programs at present.

Offline education closed in school-colleges

Even two days ago, Chief Minister Rupani told a press conference that there was no talk of a lockdown at present. The government has decided to stop offline education in schools and colleges in eight municipalities, following which offline education in schools and colleges will remain closed till April 10.

344 new corona cases in Ahmedabad

Corona's case has been steadily rising since the corporation election and the organization of the cricket match. In the last 24 hours, 344 new cases and 260 patients were cured in the city and district, while the death toll in the Ahmedabad city area rose to 2,329 with 1 patient dying. For the first time in five months i.e. since November 10, the number of new cases of corona in the city and district has reached around 340, up from 344 previously reported.

1415 new cases in 24 hours in Gujarat 1415 cases were reported in Gujarat within 24 hours on Friday after 4 months. At the same time, a total of 2,83,864 cases and 2,72,332 discharges have been reported in the state, up from 1,420 reported earlier on November 20, while 948 patients have recovered and returned home. The death toll in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Surat Corporation area and Surendranagar was 4-1437 with 4 patients dying 1-1. For the first time since January 13, four patients have died in the state.

Responsibility was assigned following Coro’s transition

In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the four metros in the state, the responsibility of these cities has been handed over to four senior secretaries on an urgent basis to guide the local bodies for corona infection control and treatment measures in these metros. Rajiv Gupta to Ahmedabad (he has been doing this for a long time), Education Secretary Vinod Rao and Finance Secretary (Expenditure) Milind Torvane to Vadodara and Industry Commissioner Rahul Gupta to Rajkot and GIDC Managing Director N. Thannarasan has been given the responsibility of Surat.
