Banaskantha District Kelavani Mandal, Palanpur aims at providing quality education to the young students of the towns and on the most backward and desert areas of the North Gujarat. The Mandal is registered as a charitable trust and by now it has won the due respect of the young learners, their parents and all the stake holder who are directly or indirectly connected with the education and over-all development of the region.

The Jain business magnets settled in Bombay, originally hailing from Palanpur, have been magnanimously sharing the Herculean task.

College

In 1964 the Arts college started. In 1965 the Science college followed the suit. In 1979 the Commerce College was added to it. The Complex has a 9 acre large campus. The college building has 22 classrooms including, fourteen large lecture halls. The Science section has 13 well-equipped specious laboratories. We have research centre and research library. We have the library with all the study materials. We also have hostel facilities for the students. Our playground is large and has the facilities like Cricket ground with turf wicket Pavillion with all facilities and well equipped Indoor Gymkhana and Fitness centre. We have also large open air theater. We have an AC Computer laboratory with the latest computer and Internet facilities. The Late Shri Galbabhai Nanjibhai Patel Hostel is situated on the college campus itself. The admissions to the hostel are open to the students of all castes and creeds without any discrimination.

Aims and Objectives

To start activities for promotion of education and its development in Banaskantha District and to establish colleges, hostels, libraries, and other educational institutions and to maintain the same, to publish books in the field of literature and to distribute them.

To help and aid students of the Banaskantha District, in their studies here or abroad, to award scholarships or prizes and giving other aid in kind by advancing loans with or without interest

1. I hereby apply to seek admission to the above mentioned course. I abide to obey all the rules and regulations of college and University. I know that if I do not join the college within the stipulated time, my admission shall stand cancelled and also my caution money and other fees will be deducted / refunded as per policy. 2. We abide to pay all the fees decided by the college from time to time.

3. We shall submit undertaking stating maintenance of at least 80% attendance. I/My ward shall not hold any job during college hours and co-operate the college in all respects.

4. I undertake as a parent/guardian that I will come to the college in person as and when called by the college in connection with the issues related to attendance, study, behavior etc. of my ward.

5. We know that bringing mobile in the campus is strictly prohibited and we will not have any objection if it is seized in case of its use in the campus.

6. I have to return my library books issued at correct time and if not returned I have to pay a fine as per institute/library rules. New books will be issued only when the previous book are returned.

7. I know that Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus and if I am engaged in ragging I will be immediately suspended / rusticated from the college.

8. We are aware that the college campus is a “No Tobacco Zone” as per rules of District Tobacco Control (DTC) Cell of Government of Gujarat.

9. I, hereby undertake that, I will neither indulge in any coercive activity for the purpose of forcing the authorities of the Institute to solve any problem nor I will participate in any activity which has a tendency to disturb the peace and tranquility of the institute campus and/or its Hostel premises.

I Promise not to indulge in any activity that interferes with the discipline inside and outside the college campus. All the certificates submitted by me at the time of admission is none of false / fake, if so the college can cancel my admission and can take legal action against me.
